"It is nearly impossible to find any flaws with accommodations or service or amenities." - June 2010
Frankly, it is nearly impossible to find any flaws with accommodations or service or amenities. Your property is clean, everything works (yes I used the gym), and every member of the staff was pleasant and efficient.
Please let Ms. Almas know how pleased we were with how well the banquet on Saturday night went. Even for us culinarily spoiled New Orleanians, the food was excellent from veggies to dessert. The service in Trina on Sunday morning was outstanding as well.
My wife and I were in the notorious 1210, known to maintenance as "the shower". We pointed out to Ms. Nora, the room attendant, the water leaking from the stall, and she stopped her work to call a gentleman from maintenance. He was at the room in fewer than five minutes, and was able to stem a great deal of the leak on the hinged side of the door.
I never know if the lady responsible for cleaning the room is the first person in it after we leave, I hope she found the gratuity under the pillow. Perhaps it is time that the hospitality industry left an envelope in the room designed to reward good service.
You may wish to suggest that a few more umbrellas be added to the pool area.
You have nice bar, but might wish to have REAL Midori honeydew melon liqueur, rather than the low-end Mr. Boston substitute.
Overall it was a "10" experience, and thanks for asking. Say hi to the Ohio sisters at the night desk for me, they were a pleasure with whom to chat.

"The Atlantic Hotel was the best in service and price." - June, 2010
The Atlantic Hotel was the best hotel that I've ever stayed at. The rooms were immaculate, roomy with up to date interior decoration. I loved Trina's lounge and the food was very very good at the restaurant. I experienced the quail for the first time and it was very good. I didn't get the chance to thank the chef so I'll do that on my next visit. But the most important thing that I recognized was the service. I've been to a lot of hotels, even The Ritz, and The Atlantic Hotel was the best in service and price. So all in all, I would like to thank the entire staff for being so polite making us feel welcomed.
"By far the best hotel we've stayed in in South Florida." - June 2010
Our stay was wonderful, by far the best hotel we've stayed in in South Florida. We both loved every minute there.

"One of the best rooms I have stayed in. I will definitely be going back. " - June, 2010
My husband and I needed another hotel in pinch….the one we booked was not up to our standards. We always loved the The Atlantic Hotel when passing by or going to Trina for brunch or drinks. I called them and told them what happened, and they reserved us a room. When we checked in everyone at the front desk was very helpful and very nice. They offered us two drink coupons because our room was not ready yet and suggested we sit outside on the terrace at Trina. The waitress was great as were the drinks she suggested. When we walked back in the lobby our room was ready, and they upgraded us to a suite…which was amazing. One of the best rooms I have stayed in. I will definitely be going back.

"Very warm and welcoming front desk team who treated us like valued guests." - May, 2010
My recent stay at the Atlantic Hotel was more than I had expected. When my boyfriend and I arrived for his birthday weekend, we were greeted by a very warm and welcoming front desk team who (unlike some of the other upscale hotels we have stayed at) treated us like valued guests, rather than just the individuals staying in room 609. They had bright genuine smiles and warm welcomes for us. Our room which was a suite overlooking the ocean had a beautiful view and was very well kept. We did have an opportunity to visit the spa and enjoyed the couples bath ritual and massage. It was a very nice experience that made our stay even more special. The housekeeper was very nice and cleaned our room at the times we requested, on time and with a smile.
We very much enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer. We definitely will be back to The Atlantic Hotel. We booked our stay under the Florida Resident’s Package which was a very nice package for those of us who live here in South Florida who just need a weekend away from the day to day chaos and the stress of our busy lives. We came home refreshed and renewed.
Thanks again to all of the staff at The Atlantic for making our stay pleasurable.

"Without a question the best experience we have had in Ft. Lauderdale." - May, 2010
We had the most amazing time. The Atlantic Hotel was without a question the best experience we have had in Ft. Lauderdale. The room, the view, the beach and the food in the restaurant...outstanding.
Thank you for the upgrade upon our arrival.
Most definitely a boutique feel and I will definitely be back. I didn't have an opportunity to try the spa but will in the near future.
I have family visiting in from out of town often and will make a high recommendation for the Atlantic to be their place of stay.
Thank you again for an amazing stay. I look forward to my next.

"Loved every moment we were there!" - April, 2010
Thanks so much for all your help. We did take the smaller room with the open balcony and loved every moment we were there! I cannot say enough good things about the Atlantic and the staff in particular. Service was great.
I am sure we will be staying with you again. Thanks again,
Clint
"The staff could not be nicer." - February, 2010
Our stay was incredible, the suite we had on the fifth floor was just like being in our own world. The pool and hot tub right outside the door was perfect for watching the sunrise (from the Hot Tub). Breathtaking view. Our 20th Anniversary and Valentine's Day was perfect thanks to the Atlantic. The Spa was also great and the staff could not be nicer. I highly recommend this beautiful place, we'll be back for sure. Thanks Atlantic for an awesome weekend.

We both work in Travel and will definitely recommend your hotel to our clients and friends alike.
All being well we will definitely come back and stay with you next year.

"...the most delicous omelet..." - December 14th, 2009
Good morning,
Thank you for the follow-up communication. Our stay in the Atlantic was wonderful. I must say the chef prepared the most delicous omelet I have ever, ever eaten. Marvelous! The lone item I might mention as a change consideration is to provide complimentary in-room internet service to guests.
Thanks.

"Recommended your hotel to all my friends." -December 9th, 2009
To The Atlantic Hotel Concierge Team:
I have only positive comments to offer regarding my stay at your hotel and I told your front desk my feedback on several occasions. From the moment I arrived and I was greeted by your bell staff and my bags were handled for me...to the moment I left and again was assisted with my baggage with extreme courtesy and attention...it was totally a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
The room was beautiful and spacious and comfortable. My view from the terrace was down A1A with both an ocean view and a beautiful city view. The products in the bathroom were very nice. The availability of the small kitchenette area came in very handy for cold juices and leftovers and making delicious coffee every morning to drink on my lovely terrace. When I requested another pillow, a very eager employee searched around for me at 11:30 p.m. until he found what I was asking for. When I inadvertently carried sand onto my tile floor, housekeeping promptly came to clean the floor for me.
The concierge was very helpful in suggesting restaurants on Las Olas, making a reservation for us on a Friday night at 9 p.m. at YOLO which was honored with extreme attention when we arrived within a few minutes and we were seated immediately, despite the hundreds of people standing around, many of which must have been waiting for a table. The concierge also reminded us that on weekends the trolley ran every 15 minutes, so we opted for that instead of the $10 cab ride we paid the night before, and got free round trip rides to Las Olas that night.
The bartender on Wednesday night in Trina was especially friendly and service oriented, as were the bartenders I encountered on the following 2 evenings when I took advantage of your Happy Hour. The service poolside was also impeccable with food served to wherever we were sitting. And the food was absolutely delicious...not one complaint...great portions, excellent quality!
We took advantage of the spa for it's jacuzzi, sauna and steam, showers, relaxation room and wonderful teas! The spa was as nice as the nicest ones I've been to. I also was able to make use of the fitness room, although I found limited choices there in the weight equipment.
I also took advantage of your Business Center where I was always able to get time on the computer.
I have already recommended your hotel to all my friends and will continue to. I feel totally confident that anyone I would send there would be happy. All the personnel made you feel like you were important to them and were eager to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Everyone was extremely professional and helpful.
Unfortunately, the days we were there, there was not a drop of sun!! But the comforts of the hotel, the amenities it offered, it's proximity to Las Olas and the beach for swimming or walks along the boardwalk, made it an absolutely perfect vacation. I truly hope to be able to come back again!!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share very special time with my daughter...a rare treat as they grow up to be adults!!

"Truly a touch of class" -November 16th, 2009
Dear Paul and Sonny,
We’d like to both thank you for a fantastic stay at the Atlantic Hotel. From the moment we stepped out of our cab, until the time we left for the airport, your entire staff was professional, courteous and always smiling. We were immediately taken away by the fresh scent and boutique décor of your lobby. As we were graciously assisted to our room by the bell man, he politely explained all of the features of the rooms as well as the exits in case of emergency. That was truly a touch of class as we have never been shown that kind of attention at any level of hotel we have stayed. In fact we were given a room with two queens, when we booked a room with a king, and the change was made immediately when we called down, and professionally handled. Our room was fantastic. From the fine touches in the bathrooms to the breathtaking views of the ocean. We jumped around like little kids when the door finally closed behind us! To be able to sleep with the sliding door open and the sound of the crashing waves is purely paradise for us.
Your pool area was perfect. The bar and restaurant served excellent lunch and cocktails in the sun. Trina served a wonderful breakfast out on the front porch. We also spent a few hours in the Spa making excellent use of the steam rooms, Jacuzzi, and an excellent massage.
Paul, you were extremely helpful when I sat with you to pick out a restaurant for Saturday night. You referred us to Timpano’s on Las Olas, and your suggestion was a home run. The service, atmosphere and food were exactly what we were looking for. You know how to read your clientele to a tee, and that is the sign of a true professional.
We both want to again thank you for such a wonderful stay, and look forward to staying with you again the next time we come down to Ft. Lauderdale.
Very Best,
Andrew & Erin S.

"I am always treated like royalty" - November 6th, 2009
As always, a great stay. You guys are the best. From the second I pull up, to the moment I leave, I am always treated like royalty at The Atlantic. You are, and always will be, my home away from home on my numerous work trips to South Florida.

"Overall, a great place to chill and be pampered" - October 26th, 2009
My wife and i decided to go for a long weekend to relax. The Atlantic was a great choice. The rooms were well appointed and spacious, the staff was wonderful and the amenities were first class.
The Spa is clean and beautiful. Massages were exceptional for a resort.
The concierge helped us with wonderful suggestions and tips.
Trina, the restaurant in the hotel was great for breakfast (included in the Sunshine Package), and good for dinner.
Overall, a great place to chill and be pampered for a very reasonable rate.

"Fantastic hotel on the beach!" - October 14th, 2009
We recently stayed at the Atlantic Hotel for a romantic getaway. The room was fabulous, the views of the ocean (especially at night with the moon shining on the water) were spectacular. The hotel was spotless and all the staff were very professional and friendly. The only criticism I have is one evening we were on the veranda at Trina's waiting for a nightcap when a (female) staff member came out, walked right past us, tidied up a chair and continued on into the bar, totally ignoring us. We had to go into the bar and order our drinks. Other than that, I cannot say enough good things about the hotel and the location. if you want to party, this is not the place but 2 blocks away is where all the action is. For a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is the spot. The price, of course, cannot be beaten. Very low priced for the quality of the hotel and all the amenities. I can't wait to go back.

"Simply the BEST in Fort Lauderdale" - October 13th, 2009
This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in Fort Lauderdale. Spent the Columbus Day weekend with a friend of mine here. We got an oceanside room, and the views of the beach are spectacular. The rooms are extra-large and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is so big it is like another room in itself! The entire staff is top-notch, from the valet parking guys out front to the front desk personnel, concierges, and Trina's restaurant staff. I will definitely stay here on my next visit, I would not want to go anywhere else after my experience here. But I would love it if the Atlantic, like so many other hotels, would stop charging for high-speed internet service. That certainly won't prevent me from returning here, I just can't see paying for a service that should simply be free.

"Our room , 501 was exquisite and you were all so helpful and accomodating" -October 7, 2009
Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation. Our room , 501 was exquisite and you were all so helpful and accomodating. We will definitely recommend you to our friends and family and hope to return again soon. Thanks for the change of rooms to 501 due to my issues with heights. I so appreciated it. I can see why your resort is 5 star--the service exceeds all expectations.

"We Had A Great Weekend at The Atlantic " - October 1, 2009
Just a quick note to let you know that we had a great weekend at the Atlantic. We have been there on several occasions for drinks on the outdoor patio but decided to spend the night for my birthday. Our room overlooking the ocean on the 9th floor was beautiful. Everyone at the hotel from the valet staff to the desk staff to the restaurant staff were great! Everyone was very customer friendly! The best part was it was only a 10 minute drive from home but it felt like we really got away and relaxed!
Keep up the great work and we hope to come back soon and enjoy another "Florida resident" package.

"The staff was always friendly, helpful and accommodating" - September 14, 2009
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. The room had a great ocean view. We were happy that the balcony was covered since it was rainy during our stay. We also liked the fact that the kitchenette was stocked with cooking and serving utensils.
The staff was always friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had our wedding dinner in Trina restaurant after our ceremony on the beach and were impressed with the food and the staff, both of which were excellent. We will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

"I was greeted with the utmost hospitality and service" - September 6, 2009
Hello all,
Just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Atlantic Hotel. I stayed there twice this summer and both times I was greeted with the utmost hospitality and service. The cleanliness of the hotel also impressed me, as I consider that high on my list of criteria for a vacation spot. I will be sure to return to your hotel the next time I visit Ft. Lauderdale! I would highly recommend it to anyone!

"The Atlantic Hotel is the BEST place to stay in Fort Lauderdale, hands down." -September 2, 2009
The Atlantic Hotel is the BEST place to stay in Fort Lauderdale, hands down. It is right on A1A on the beach, and has a pool on the 6th floor overlooking the entire oceanfront. It is just a few miles up from Las Olas (the party/bar street), has great food, the staff is unbelievable, the rooms are out of this world, and the weather is always sunny!
HOTEL: This is seriously top notch. The best part of this is that you get an entire condo for the price of a hotel room... meaning full kitchen, huge bathroom with a tub and shower, an outdoor patio, a seating area, etc. If you are looking to save money, just run to the grocery store around the corner and stock your fridge with your own wine, beer, and munchies for the beach and cocktails. All of the decor was dark chocolate wood. Very spacious (as in bigger than my one bedroom apartment in Chicago)
SERVICE: My boyfriend and I went here for New Years last year, and came back in July... they knew all of our preferences! Had champagne in the room, reservations at the two restaurants off site we really loved, and taxis pre-ordered. They also delivered to our room new towels daily, cleaned, ironed my boyfriends shirts (awesome!) and have a 24 hour room service menu that has lotsof really delicious options. They have a free fitness center, yoga and pilates classes in the morning, spa services, nail and hair salon, and couples massages in your room!
FOOD: Trina is the restaurant attached to the hotel and it is amazing!! http://www.trinarestau... Monday -Thursday they have $5 happy hour 4-7pm. This is any drink... any martini, house pour wine, or bottled beer. The seafood at this place was incredible. You sit outside on the oceanside, soft music, a little breeze... it is fabulous. We ordered: Blue Crab Cake with mango, tomato, and corn relish (huge, and wonderful), Lobster and Scallop risotto with truffle, asparagus, and blood orange sauce which literally melted in your mouth it was so delicious, Over Roasted Sea Bass with capers, olives, cherry tomatoes and raisins that was perfectly cooked. The server paired our two dishes with a Chilean white wine (similar to a Savingon Blanc). The waitstaff is accommodating (Im allergic to nuts so they made some things without them and were very diligent), quick, and very polite.
This is a must stay hotel. It is worth the money. Also - when booking always book online as it is cheaper than booking by calling the hotel directly.
Happy seafood eating, beaching, sunning, and relaxing in lovely Fort Lauderdale! :)

"Wonderful hotel with great customer service!” - August 24, 2009
I’m a very picky mom. Before booking a hotel for my family I always research the hotel.
The Atlantic Hotel did not disappoint me. This hotel was a breath of fresh air.
My family and I enjoyed this hotel. If you have small children I would suggest booking
one of their AMAZING suites. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The food and service at
Trina restaurant was very good. We will surely vacation at this hotel again.
"Best hotel I've stayed at EVER" - August 23, 2009
My wife and our 12 and 13 year old sons were looking for a weekend getaway where we could
relax, enjoy some good family time, and spend a lot of time on the beach. We could not
have found a better place than the Atlantic hotel. We arrived on Friday night and were
greeted by Brad and Fritz. We were quickly upgraded to a king delux suite at no extra
charge because they were out of queen rooms. Although the room was larger and more expensive,
it only had sleeping for 3 so Brad and Fritz quickly arranged for a rollaway, which was
delivered within 5 mn. of entering our room and the person delivering it even set it up for us,
to my son's wishes. So, right off the bat we were very pleased. These rooms are nothing short
of spectacular. There were two BOSE radio systems in the room, a marble bathroom with walk-in
shower of about 5' x 5' with enough water pressure to put out a fire had it been needed. The
toilet had its own room, another 5' x 5' space. There is a tub, dual granit sink, and probably
close to 200 square feet in the bathroom, all nicely laid in marble and with patterns. The beds
and linens are top notch and a very high grade of cotton. The kitchen is nice granite and stainless,
and there were two heavy cotton robes in the very large closet in the entry way, and
another closet next to that one. The balcony allowed both views down the south side of the
beach/ocean, and also of the Ft. Lauderdale skyline to the west. Just south was the 'empty'
Trump tower, so we left curtains open the entire time as there were no neighbors who could
peek in at us. The bedroom had very nice polywood shutters on the window. This hotel is as good
as you can get for the beach. You simply go out the lobby door, ask for some towels (which are
so nice that I can't imagine that they let you take them out of there) go down the lobby entrance
to the hotel, push a button to cross A-1-A and you are on the beach. Not only that, but there
is a very fancy lifeguard tower righ there with someone to watch over you. The beach is
fantastically clean, and obviously the city is paying to keep it up. The best part is that
when done with the beach, up near the lifeguard tower and near the sidewalk, there is a very
powerful shower for washing sand off of you. I've rinsed in 100's of showers in FL on the beach
and most are ineffective and you are standing in a pile of sand when done. This one has so much
water pressure, that if you were buried in sand, you could be rinsed clean in probably about
5-10 seconds - IT IS THAT GOOD! Then, the sand washes off the concrete ledge, leaving you sand-free
for the short walk across A-1-A and into the hotel lobby. With 2 boys, and going to the beach
back and forth about 3 times a day, I don't think we had one grain of sand in our room! We
utilized the FL educator special rate and were given free valet parking and also $40 in breakfast
credits in the restaraunt each morning. There are other specials on their website, such as FL
residents, senior citizens, etc... I will say that the food is spectacular at this restaraunt.
We tried the poached eggs on crab, smoked salmon bagel, American breakfast, and blackened
mahi-mahi. Two can get more than their share of food for $40. Also, you can get served breakfast
until very late in the morning (11:30 I think, but don't quote me on that). We also at dinner
there one night as they had a $39 special that included a appetizer, entree, desert, and glass
of wine. The boys ate off of a kids menu for $7, including their drinks. This is a fabulous deal!
We had the lobster/crab entree and also the coconut shrimp but the shrimp were so large that I
thought they were lobsters themselves. The appetizers and desserts were also of very high quality.
We had a very nice dinner with a great atmosphere for about what we spend on dinner at a 'run of
the mill' 'chain' place. I will also mention that the restaraunt always had about a dozen staff
members working in there, all at a very fast pace and definitely knowing what they were doing.
Lastly, the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Towels were always available, my boys
kept their boogie-boards in the lobby and checked them in/out as they went to the beach always
being greeted by the staff. Fritz gave us a 1:00 checkout, and this hotel had a noon checkout
anyway (instead of 11:00 like some do). There was cold ice water with orange slices in it near
the lobby entrance and on the 5th floor where the pool was. The entire facility was immaculately
clean during our stay here. I give this hotel 5 stars and am already looking to make another
reservation in September for a nice weekend. Although it wouldn't matter much to us as we utilized
the restaraunt, you can walk about 1/2 a mile south and find a CVS pharmacy with normal prices to
get whatever you need in terms of snacks, food, drinks, etc...
"First Class Service" - July 23, 2009
This hotel was in a wonderful spot. Some of the hotels in Lauderdale are beside loud bars and
nightlife. This hotel was within walking distance to those things, but far away enough that
it was quiet and peaceful. The beach is beautiful. The room was always clean and the beds
were turned down nightly with yummy chocolates left on the pillow. The staff was friendly
and attentive. The hotel smelled divine and they sell the candles in the front lobby. The
spa is amazing with a complimentary steam room, sauna, and hottub for guests. The hottub is
surrounded by lounge chairs, magazines, and ice cold washcloths for you to cool down with. I
am a big spa person and I got the best massage I have ever had in my life here! The rooms were
spacious. The bathroom was huge and included a big marble bathtub and separate stand up shower.
The kitchen was stocked with silverware, glasses, plates, and cookware. The staff would even
wash our dishes that we had left out. Valet service is expensive, but required here. The buses
are inconvenient and walking in the Florida heat is not advised. You really need a car to get
where you are going. You also need to bring a large beach towel as the hotel charges for towels
and some guy on the beach charges for chairs. This is an upper class hotel and the price reflects
that, but it is worth it.
"Amazing Stay at the Atlantic" - June 29, 2009
A friend and I stayed at the Atlantic for a girls getaway. I can't say enough good things
about this hotel. I arrived at 1 pm (check-in is 4) and was given a room right away. The room
was large, comfortable. The only negative I would say is the carpet needed to be replaced. The
hotel does not offer beach chairs/umbrellas, however, you can get towels and water to take to
the beach. We ate breakfast every morning at Trina. Terrific food and service (thanks, Jared!).
Hotel staff - extremely nice and helpful. Sonny recommended an amazing restaurant and nightlife
on Las Olas. He got us dinner reservations last minute and had a cab waiting for us when we were
ready to go. The hotel was extremely quiet (and we were even located directly above the pool).
We were given a late check-out with no questions or hassle and we continued to enjoy the pool
and spa until our departure to the airport. Thank you to everyone at the Atlantic for an amazing weekend getaway!! |
